SYMPOSIUM: "LIGHT, RELIABLE, INTELLIGENT – THE STEEL OF TOMORROW" (October 23rd, 2007)

The world’s first mass-production facility for the 3cast® low-pressure casting process was showcased during a specialist symposium on efficient, thin-walled cast steel which took place at the premises of SHB (Stahl- und Hartgusswerk Bösdorf) near Leipzig.  The guest speakers were Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ulrich Seiffert, former member of the VW Board, and Dr.-Ing. Stephan Dietrich, Head of the Department of Joining Technology at the Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology in Chemnitz.
